National City is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and National City follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Whoa, the pho is so good here. The broth is clear and so delicious. I drank half of the bowl first because it was so good. Then I remembered to add the homemade chili oil sauce! I called ahead to let them know how many house specials I was ordering and what time. There was a slight wait for a table when I got there, and it made me even hungrier. The parking lot is tight, but it wasn’t hard to get a spot. Service is great. Everyone is so friendly. I started with an order of shrimp roll. The roll itself is just ok; it has a lot of noodles. The peanut sauce was great and sweet. They ran out of the pork roll. They only make a limited amount of pho every day, and once they’re sold out, they’re done for the day. I definitely recommend to come early or call ahead. The pho though is actually PHENOMENAL. I would come back even though it’s like a $25 meal. They give two beef ribs that have meat falling off the bone. The homemade chili oil was so good that I bought two jars to take home. When am I going to come back to National City?? HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This is the BEST MOST INCREDIBLE pho I’ve had in my life!! And that is coming from someone who is very particular and picky with pho. Ive been to the best pho places all over oc, la, the Bay Area, and sd and this one takes the cake for my number one favorite pho spot. Everything is on point from the broth - perfectly rich and flavorful, the noodles - delicious and with the perfect chew, and the spare rib knocks it out of the park - incredibly tender beautiful, melts in your mouth. The pho here is perfection and has ruined all other pho places for me lol. Also the sugarcane drink is so delicious and I get it everytime!! It is amazing so yummy and refreshing. The owners are brothers, so friendly, kind, and funny. Even just after our first and second time going they always treat us like family and make you feel so welcomed. It is always such a joy to eat there. I can see how much they put their heart into their restaurant and it is so heart warming to see how effortlessly they connect with their customers. Phonomenal will change your life it’s so good hahaha now that I moved away from sd I’m so sad cause I think about this pho and it has truly altered my brain chemistry lol

We enjoyed our experience and the food: * The House Special ($18.95) 5/5 β€” The pho had good texture and was perfectly cooked. * Shrimp & Pork Rolls ($9.95) 4/5 β€” Fresh veggies and flavorful sauce. Service: 3/5 Pleasant, however, we weren't given menus when we were seated. A few minutes later, the waiter came by and asked, β€œAre you ready to order?!” Lol. Also, we ordered one bowl of Pho, but they brought us two. No problem though; they took it back with no fuss.

The house special was definitely the must eat. Meat was tender and fall-off the bone. Broth was flavorful. Did not even need additional seasoning. Noodles were fresh and soft. Staff here were earnest and sincere. It's busy so understand you might share a table, might wait a bit, but it's worth it! Atmosphere is feels like a mom and pop pho place that is clean and new but with a touch of hole in a wall pho place. 100% will go back.

Phenomenal in National City lives up to its name. The vibe is lively and there is always a line, which is a good sign. The space is bright with floor to ceiling windows and plenty of natural light. It can get crowded but you can still talk comfortably with your group. The dining area and bathroom are clean, though I wish they had a step stool and paper towels for kids. The menu is simple and efficient. I ordered the beef ribs pho with meatballs and loved that each bowl comes with two ribs and plenty of meat. The broth is silky, rich, and very smooth. Portions are generous and everything came out steaming hot with fresh herbs. Service is fast and the owner is incredibly warm. He treats everyone like regulars, which adds to the welcoming, modern, and minimal vibe. This place feels like visiting a friend’s home for a comforting bowl of pho. Would I return? Definitely
